Seeds of Innovation 4.0

Companies from the classical industry are invited to take part in a groundbreaking program to promote innovation through digital transformation and implementation of advanced production technologies.

The process will be managed by a multi-disciplinary professional team – a leading consultant, academic supervisors from the field of industry and management and a combined computer science and student team from the faculty of Industry and the faculty of Computer Science at the Technion.

The purpose of the program – to improve the production process by implementing innovative methods, tools, and technologies, including (Digitization, automation, robotics) in order to increase the productivity and competitiveness of the company.

Program Stages – The professional team will identify the technological gaps in the company’s current capabilities, identify possible development directions, identify failures in the production process and develop an innovative technological solution to streamline processes.

Step 1 – Preparation – Adapting the teams to the factories.

Step 2 – Mapping the plant in terms of technologies and processes.

Step 3 – Selection of the challenge (s) – Identifying opportunities for digital transformation in the factory.

Step 4 – Formulation of a solution and its development in multidisciplinary teams (industry and management of computer science).

Step 5 – Pilot for the implementation of the technological solution in the factory using relevant technologies.

Step 6 – Presentation of the projects, including quantitative indicators for the evaluation of the increase in productivity as measured during and after the implementation, including an implementation and implementation plan.
